Spring Break Camp

March 14-18, 2022

New this year - Spring Break Camp is open to all students currently in 5th-8th grades!

This weeklong camps will feature educational tours, games, creative projects, investigations, and more. Read through our COVID-19 protocols here.
For students attending YWLA or KB Polk Vanguard: registration links will be sent via your school!

Important safety guidelines during in-person camps:

  • Campers will be in groups of no more than 15.
  • All campers will be expected to wear masks and to maintain six feet of distance between themselves and others whenever possible.
  • An Information Packet will be sent out with updated information regarding changes to our programming, preparing your child for camp, and drop-off and pick-up instructions the week prior to your child(ren)'s camp.

Camp Details

Students will explore different parts of our Solar System through a combination of games, group activities, experiments, and talks with STEM industry professionals! Students will work in groups to create their own models of the Solar System!


The Sun
Our star and the center of our solar system is pretty special! Students will discover why our "Sol" (while average) is so extraordinary to us!


Terrestrial Planets
Students will explore the first four planets in our solar system by making their own craters and conducting experiments!


Gaseous Planets
Students will create works of art and uncover the mysteries of our gas planets, the last four in our solar system!


Beyond the Solar System
Looking past our solar system, students will explore our ever-expanding and changing universe!


Space Exploration
To the Moon and beyond! Students will learn about human exploration of the solar system and create their own lunar or planetary base!
