Flying High for the Glory of God

The Orville Rogers Story

A Documentary » Nov 10, 2018

Pilot and world champion runner Orville Rogers trained bomber pilots in World War II, flew the B-36 on secret missions during the Korean Conflict, ferried airplanes to remote Baptist missions all over the world, and managed to squeeze in a thirty-one-year career as a pilot with Braniff Airways. As if that wasn’t enough, Orville took up running at age fifty-one and ran his first marathon six years later. At age ninety he broke two world records. He holds fifteen world records to date and continues to compete annually. Invariably, he wins.

Be inspired by the extraordinary life of Orville Rogers in this engaging documentary.

“If I can’t serve God well, if I cannot finish strong, then all of these achievements are worth nothing,” says Orville Rogers.

Orville’s story is about the good guy finishing first, and he will tell you in no uncertain terms that all the good in his life―and there has been much―comes directly from God. His is a life of challenge and risk, marked by tragic losses and remarkable successes. At every turn, he is guided by God and motivated by a passionate desire to serve Him. Orville does not spend much time looking back. Instead, he is flying always into the glory.
