Olin C. Lancaster
Olin was the very first Executive Director of Frontiers of Flight Museum, setting the bar for all that followed. He began his appointment in 1989 and remained in command for 10 years, during which time he tirelessly worked to promote and gain support for the Museum and our programs. He presided over the many air shows at the Museum in the 90s and did so with a smile and lovely graciousness. After his retirement as Executive Director, Olin continued to support the Museum as part of the Advisory Board and as a volunteer. He was passionate about the Museum’s mission and remained extremely involved right up to his passing. Olin was a true gentleman, whose abundant dignity, style and sense of humor were deeply appreciated by all who knew him. He was a friend and supporter and will be dearly missed. We thank his wife Sally and his family for making the tribute in his memory possible.
