Join us for the 2017 Greater Dallas Veterans Day Parade!
Our Young Women’s STEM Leadership Initiative students from
Grand Prairie Young Women’s Leadership Academy at Arnold
will carry photos of WWII Medal of Honor Recipients from Texas.

This year the parade honors the veterans for the
Gulf War- Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. 

Before the parade begins, opening ceremonies will be held at Dallas City Hall.


• 9:30 a.m. – Military displays available for viewing in front of Dallas City Hall
• 10:50 a.m. – Over 150 young men and women representing all services of the military will take their Oath of Enlistment 
• 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – 11th Hour Ceremonies with keynote address 
o A symbolic wreath laying ceremony accompanied by Taps
o A missing man flyover by the U.S. Air Force
o The Massing of the Colors performed by area high school JROTC cadets

Following the opening ceremonies, the parade will begin at Reunion Arena, proceed north on Houston street, east on Main street, south on Ervay street, west on Young street, south on Akard street and pass in front of Dallas City Hall.
