TOUR INFORMATION

- Target audience:
- School Groups: Comprehensive tour – 3rd Grade and up.
- Kindergarten through 2nd Grade: Short tour, then play time in “Jay
Jay the Jet Plane” area.
- Adult Groups
- Miscellaneous Groups (Day Care Centers, Scout Troops, After-
School programs etc.)
- Exhibits: Follow the flight plan of the earliest aviators to modern
astronauts, and discover the history behind; balloons and Zeppelins, the
Wright brothers, World War I & II, commercial and general flight and the
ongoing space program. A vast array of artifacts help bring history to life;
full-size aircraft including the Apollo 7 Command Module, aircraft
models, engines, missiles, space artifacts including the only moon rock in
north Texas, uniforms, trophies, posters, helmets, art and many
information kiosks. Docents are available to guide you through your tour.
- Duration: Approximately 1 hour.
- Location: 6911 Lemmon Ave (@ University), Dallas, TX 75209
- Directions: The entrance is at Lemmon and University. From I-35, turn
East on Mockingbird and veer left onto Lemmon. From US 75 and Dallas
North Tollway, turn West on Mockingbird and veer right onto Lemmon.
- Other Information:
- We require a 1:10 ratio of adults to children.
- Food and drinks are allowed only in the Coca Cola Café and
Hutchinson Birthday Hangar.
- Guided tours are available between 10:00am and 4:00pm Monday
through Saturday and, 1:00pm through 4:00pm on Sunday.
- Special tour admission: Seniors: $5.00, Adults: $7.00 and Children
(3/17): $3.00 One adult allowed free admission per 10 children.

- Museum Tour Regulations
- One Adult Supervisor is required for every 10 children and will receive FREE
admission to the museum.
- The cost for additional adults is $7.00 per person.
- Adult supervisors must stay with their group and are responsible for maintaining
discipline.
- Visitors must not run, make excessive noise, cross barriers or open restricted
access doors. Please be respectful of other museum visitors at all times.
- Visitors are asked not to touch museum exhibits. Human hands produce certain
chemicals and oils that have a destructive effect on some materials and metals.
Your docent will be able to tell you which artifacts you may handle or touch
without damaging them. o Large groups may be divided into small groups for the purposes of conducting
the tour.
- Visitors should refrain from bringing pocket or electronic devices such as games
or other distractions.
- Cameras and video recording devices ARE allowed.
- NO Food or Drinks are allowed in exhibit areas.
- The Museum Store is available however, we do request that teachers limit visits
to small, supervised groups.
- These regulations pertain to all groups visiting the museum, whether or not
they are accompanied by a tour docent.
