FAMILY PROGRAMS AT THE MUSEUM

February: ENGINEERS WEEK
The Frontiers of Flight Museum is a proud participant in celebrating Engineers Week (E-Week) with hands-on activities, demonstrations, and presentations lead by our diverse community STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) partners. E-Week is a  formal coalition of more than 70 engineering, education, and cultural societies, and more than 50 corporations and government agencies across the nation dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers. The event usually takes place in February.

March:  SPRING BREAK
Staying in the city for spring break? Take a day (or more!) and visit the Museum. We have many fun and educational family activities throughout the week.

March/April: WINGS OF FREEDOM TOUR
The Collings Foundation’s Wings of Freedom Tour is an adventure in historic aviation. Tour through the authentically restored aircraft. Take a flight aboard for the ultimate immersion in history. Presented by the Frontiers of Flight Museum, the National Wings of Freedom Tour honors our WWII Veterans. This event usually takes place in March-April.

July: MOON DAY
Moon Day is an annual Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)-focused, space-themed public event sponsored by the Frontiers of Flight Museum and the National Space Society of North Texas.  The event brings together space exploration-oriented groups, organizations and institutions in North Texas to share their activities and inspire new generations to embrace a scientific and technological future. This is a July event that celebrates the success of the Apollo 11 mission, mankinds first landing on the moon.
